The destruction of collagen due to time and environmental factors is the main reason that wrinkles form. The burning action of the lasers stimulates collagen production in the skin overall, causing it to plump up and remove wrinkles. Fractional CO2 laser treatments are not only for wrinkles, however. Other conditions, such as freckles, age spots, acne scars and other discoloration can all be improved through this procedure. Treatment can be performed anywhere on the face, neck, chest and hands.

IPL Photo-rejuvenation therapy is a light based source that uses energy to treat sun-damaged skin with minimal or no “down-time.” Although it is not a laser IPL can treat many of the same conditions that lasers do, without wounding the skin. IPL is most recommended for sun-damaged skin and is widely recognized for its ability to improve the following skin issues: brown spots, broken blood vessels, and uneven skin tone.

The Vbeam Is a pulsed dye laser that delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into targeted areas. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or pigmented areas (melanin) in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. The skin being treated is protected by a cooling mist on the skin before the laser pulse is emitted. It increases comfort during the treatment. No anesthetic is required, but can be used. We use the Vbeam primarily to treat red vascular facial veins and rosacea.

Brown spots can be of different types. Some are freckles and other “sunspots”. Some look like dark stains on the skin, and come from hormonal stimulation (melasma). Others are a result of trauma to the skin, resulting in post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, aka dark discoloration in acne prone areas, scars, etc. The Alex laser can successfully remove brown spots and sunspots.

This laser emits a light that is absorbed by water in your skin. As the laser penetrates into the skin, heat is generated in & around the sebaceous glands (oil glands) creating a mild thermal injury that changes the structure & function of the gland. Most report it to be mild with a slight snapping or stinging sensation like a rubberband. A cool mist is sprayed with each pulse. A topical anesthetic can be used. Mild redness may be seen and will subside within a day. Helps to renew skin by stimulating the generation of new collagen formation of the skin. We use the Smootbeam primarily for the treatment of acne.
This procedure is non-invasive, with full-face and neck treatments taking approximately 15 minutes. The BLU-U acne light works with all skin types.
